Anonymous asked: Could you talk a bit about how you experienced your sexuality before transitioning? How is it different now?

sorry if i’ve taken forever to reply to this, i don’t check my inbox much.

i didn’t experience it ‘before’, really. i socially transitioned quite young (16) and i never had any form of relationship before that. i’ve always been in to guys but couldnt do anything about it pre-transition. so i guess what changed was my ability to actually have romantic and sexual relationships. testosterone didn’t make any difference to my sexuality itself… i stayed as gay as always. i guess the only difference medical transition made was that i was way more confident (and hornier, i guess)… i couldn’t really enjoy sex with my body before because it was too incongruent, but now i’m really comfortable with my body as it is. i’m not too interested in genital surgery. i’ve learnt to appreciate what i have now and that’s fine. i feel very fortunate that i’ve been able to do that.
