Until about a year or so ago, I had very little knowledge of…
i think that tumblr presents a pretty unbalanced viewpoint of what being trans is for a lot of trans people. most of the trans guys i know feel very similarly to myself and to this post. i think tumblr trans communities are generally full of newly out, young and/or recently transitioned people (and by recently i mean 2 years or less), and a lot of the time being trans is still exciting / relevant at that point. that’s why you don’t see so many out post-transition guys, because it’s pretty tiresome after you’ve been dealing with it directly for a while. so yeah, i wouldn’t feel like you’re the only one if i were you, there’s plenty of us out there it’s just the nature of not really caring about being trans anymore is that you don’t talk about how little you care about it, most of the time. not to say it’s not a valid point to put across, but just trying to explain why it’s rarer.
